Benefits of Running

Source: topsimages.com

Running is a method of terrestrial locomotion allowing humans and other animals to move rapidly on foot. It is a type of gait characterized by an aerial phase in which both feet are above the ground. If you don’t know if it is for you, here you have some benefits of running.

Running makes us Happier

Running gets you into better physical shape, which, in turn, makes you feel stronger and better able to handle challenges that come your way. Being in better shape changes you not only physically, but also mentally.

It makes you feel more empowered, which leads to a happier mood. Running and racing allow you to set goals. People are much happier when they are working towards a goal, whether they actually achieve it or not.

The act of setting a goal and actively working towards it is what seems to trigger happiness. Reaching the goal, of course, is wonderful, but it is the journey towards the goal that leads to the most happiness.

Running helps in losing or maintaining Weight

You know that exercises burn calories while you’re working out. The bonus is that when you exercise, the burn continues after you stop. Running helps you to get a fit and healthy body.

You can lose weight easily and If you are fit you can maintain your fitness by running 10 mins daily.

Mentally Relaxed

Running prepares you to cope with daily stress and challenges without getting panicked. If you are feeling stressed, put on a lightweight shoe like Nike Flyknit Racer and go for a run.

You will stop overthinking and feel more relaxed. This is because running can immediately reduce the activity in the frontal cortex. This makes running the simplest and the healthiest way to break free from the daily grind.

Forget Bad Habits

Running can help you curb bad habits or addictions like recreational drugs, smoking, or excessive drinking. After just a few weeks, you will feel that the cravings are not as strong.

You will be keen to eat something healthy after long bursts of running.
